The agency reported that this initiative provides owners the opportunity to avoid liability and obligations as a tax agent. There are only 16 days left to use this mechanism.
Reduced rates of assay fees apply to legalized items:
- For gold, platinum, and palladium jewelry, as well as items produced abroad and used, — 10 soms per unit;
- For silver jewelry of domestic production and items from other countries, including used ones, — 8 soms per unit.
To legalize the items, it is necessary to submit the relevant documents through the ESF information system on the official website. The application must specify the name of the item, its assay, weight, quantity, price, and cost. After submitting the data, taxpayers should contact the State Tax Service's Precious Metals Department for testing and hallmarking of the jewelry items.
Additionally, it is worth noting that the voluntary patent has been canceled, and now transactions with precious metals are subject to a simplified tax system with a rate of 0.25 percent, using cash register machines.
