In response to this statement, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev reported that a new high-yield wheat variety had been imported into the country.
He noted that wheat yield also depends on the characteristics of the terrain where it is grown.
As an example, Torobaev mentioned the seeds of the wheat variety "Pobeda 75," which yielded 60 centners in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region, while in Talas, the same variety produced only 25 centners.
“We recommend that the Ak-Suu district continue to plant the 'Pobeda 75' wheat variety,” he added.
The meeting also discussed information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for spring field and economic activities in the country in 2026.
