At a meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev, a report was presented on the work of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic for the year 2025. The General Director of the Fund, Adilet Januzakov, spoke about significant changes in resource management and the launch of new strategic investment initiatives.
One of the main achievements of the new leadership has been the improvement of financial discipline: the Fund managed to recover 56.1 million soms in accounts receivable, including the full repayment of loans for projects implemented in Naryn and the village of Tosor. Optimization of operational expenses allowed for the reallocation of funds for the development of tourist infrastructure. In particular, out of 18 facilities in the network of modern recreation areas Rest Point, 11 have already been opened, and over $4.5 million in grants from the World Bank has been attracted for the creation of three new facilities in the Osh region.
The report also emphasized issues of logistics and digitalization. The subsidiary company GoBus not only organizes regular transportation but is also preparing to implement an electronic ticketing system for intercity routes, which will make travel across the country more convenient and understandable.
Furthermore, the Fund is actively working on projects of national significance that can significantly change the economic situation in the regions. Active negotiations are underway with potential investors for the international sports complex "Tamga-Tosor," with planned investments exceeding $100 million. The development of major mountain resorts Baytik Mountain Resort and Chatkal Mountain Resort is also ongoing.
The new management model of the Fund is aimed at the effective use of resources and creating conditions for transforming tourism into one of the main factors of socio-economic growth in Kyrgyzstan.
