He reported that local residents are categorically opposed to plans for the construction of an airport in Baytik and the surrounding areas.
“Residents note that the proposed construction sites are not vacant lands, but plots where residential houses are already located. To date, they have not been provided with the mandatory conclusion on the environmental impact and social consequences of this project. The airport is classified as a facility of special regime, which could significantly limit construction opportunities and halt the development of the entire district for many years,” the deputy read the words of the residents.
He called for attention to this appeal and requested an official response regarding the status of the project, as well as information on plans for public hearings and the consideration of local residents' opinions.
During the meeting, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic was also discussed regarding preparations for spring field and economic work in the country for 2026.
