- During the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh held on February 11, 2026, Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova spoke in favor of the need to shift from quantitative indicators to the quality of exported products.

She noted that more attention should be paid to the development of organic agriculture.

In addition, Mavlyanova proposed introducing preferential loans with low interest rates to support farmers in this area.

The deputy emphasized the importance of creating a laboratory for testing organic products in the country.

She also suggested using unused lands for organic agriculture with the application of drip irrigation.

“Today, farmers too often apply chemical fertilizers without control, which can lead to the degradation of land,” she noted.

In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev stated that the issues raised by Mavlyanova are within the government's focus.

He added that there are 614,000 hectares of unused agricultural land in the country that can be allocated to farmers for the development of organic agriculture.

The meeting also reviewed information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for the spring fieldwork in 2026 in the republic.
