“Today, farmers too often apply chemical fertilizers without control, which can lead to the degradation of land,” she noted.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev stated that the issues raised by Mavlyanova are within the government's focus.
He added that there are 614,000 hectares of unused agricultural land in the country that can be allocated to farmers for the development of organic agriculture.
The meeting also reviewed information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for the spring fieldwork in 2026 in the republic.
