At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev stated that farmers who will implement water-saving technologies will be given the opportunity to obtain loans at a preferential rate of 2% per annum in 2026.
According to the minister, 1 billion soms has been allocated for the implementation of this program. The project is already prepared, and funds will be allocated after the relevant resolution is approved.
Torobaev also reported that the installation of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems is planned for an area of 20,000 hectares. Of this area, 5,270 hectares will be financed by the state, while the remaining 14,730 hectares will be funded by the farmers themselves.
