How much did the bus station in the city of Naryn earn from passenger transportation 30 years ago
Passenger transportation in the city started to develop in the mid-20th century, according to historical materials about Naryn. By 1996, the city had reliable road connections with all settlements in the Naryn region.
Among the main highways passing through Naryn were the republican road Naryn – Balykchy and the international route Naryn – Torugart – Kashgar, which provided transport links with various regions of the country (according to data from 1996).
In 1996, revenues from passenger transportation within the urban transport system amounted to 174,467 soms.
The bus station was reconstructed and put into operation in 2025 after a complete modernization. It was transferred to municipal ownership, which allowed for improved service conditions.
The second floor of the building was transformed into a dormitory, while the first floor featured a waiting area and various service zones. Asphalt was laid around the bus station.
For the major renovation of the bus station, 53 million soms were allocated from the 807 million soms provided by the President's Stabilization Fund.
