The Minister of Transport and Communications Abdykalyk Syrgabaev shared plans for the implementation of significant projects in the road sector this year.
One of the priority areas is the construction of the Barskoon – Bedel – Uch-Turfan road.
“This project will become the third corridor connecting Kyrgyzstan with China. We will begin work on its construction. It is also necessary to complete the project of the Balikchy – Barskoon – Karakol road by August 31. This will require 8 billion soms. In addition, a 120-kilometer road from Naryn to Bayetov will be built. The first layer of asphalt has already been laid on a 30-kilometer section, and this year we plan to fully complete the project and put it into operation,” the minister noted.
Syrgabaev also emphasized the construction of the Northern Bypass Road in Bishkek.
“This road will be the first in the country classified as a first category road. It will be six lanes wide and equipped with overpass bridges. The main goal of this project is to eliminate traffic jams in the city,” he added.
