At the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on February 5, 2026, Deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov expressed concern about the rising rental prices in Kyrgyzstan. He urged the Cabinet of Ministers to consider measures aimed at improving rental accessibility for low-income families.

“In recent years, there has been an increase in the construction of new facilities in Kyrgyzstan, which is undoubtedly a positive development. However, the cost of renting housing today significantly exceeds that in neighboring countries. How can we rectify this situation?” the deputy inquired.

In response, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Daniyar Amangeldiev, announced the launch of a program implemented in collaboration with the Islamic Corporation, which is based on Islamic principles and includes a lease-to-own mechanism.

According to Amangeldiev, agreements have already been reached with the Islamic Fund for financing the project.

“We have agreed with the Islamic Fund on a sum of 200 million, and they have agreed to increase the funding to 400 million. We are confident that this amount will pay off,” he noted.
