A group was employed under the EPS program
The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan reported the departure of a new group of workers to South Korea under the intergovernmental employment program (EPS).
16 citizens of Kyrgyzstan left for Seoul on February 3, after completing a special training course.
This program, successfully operating for 18 years, has already helped more than 5,000 Kyrgyz citizens find jobs in Korea's manufacturing industry.
Currently, about 1,500 workers from Kyrgyzstan are in the country, employed in the production of plastics, chemicals, and food products. The average salary is 1,700 US dollars, and employer support includes housing issues. However, knowledge of the Korean language at the required level remains a significant barrier to participating in the program.
