As part of the preparation for employment, the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad organized a 5-day course focused on learning the Korean language and its practical application in a professional environment.
The training program includes the following aspects:
- studying the culture and history of the Republic of Korea for intercultural understanding and adaptation;
- familiarization with social norms, traditions, and rules of conduct;
- in-depth study of the Korean language for successful integration;
- practical training to assist in adapting to the work environment and interacting with management.
The Center has been facilitating employment for citizens in the Republic of Korea for 18 years.
As a result of cooperation with the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Korea, more than 5,000 contracts have been signed with citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
Currently, more than 1,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are working in Korea under the EPS program. Most of them are employed in the manufacturing industry, including sectors such as food, chemical, and paper, as well as in factories producing plastic, rubber, and glass products.
The average income is $1,700, while housing and food expenses (fully or partially) are covered by the employer.
To participate in the EPS program, a good level of proficiency in the Korean language is the main requirement.
The Center continues its efforts to expand employment opportunities for citizens of Kyrgyzstan abroad and to enhance their competitiveness in the global labor market.
