According to the agency's information, O.S.M., who held the position of head of the water management of the Ak-Suu district, used his authority for personal gain from 2018 to 2025 by leasing a service excavator to third parties.
It became known that the funds received from the rental, amounting to 625,000 soms, did not reach the department's account but were embezzled by O.S.M. himself. As a result of frequent and illegal use, the machine became inoperable and is no longer usable. According to experts' conclusions, the market value of the excavator is 800,000 soms.
According to the SCNS, the total damage caused to the state by O.S.M.'s actions is estimated at 1,425,000 soms. He is currently in custody at the pre-trial detention center in the city of Karakol, and the investigation is ongoing.
