On January 30, a meeting of the Board of the State Customs Service was held in the Kyrgyz Republic, where the results of the work for the IV quarter of 2025 and the entire year were summarized.

According to the data, actual revenues from customs duties in 2025 reached 157.4 billion soms, which is 5.8 billion soms higher than the forecasts of the Ministry of Finance.

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that the revenues of the customs service have increased almost sixfold in recent years: while in 2020 the collections amounted to only 28 billion soms, in 2025 they reached 157.4 billion. Kasymaliev emphasized that the implementation of the national digital platform "Smart Bazy" was an important factor in this growth.

Customs revenues account for more than 25% of the revenue part of the republican budget, and at the same time, the workload on employees has significantly increased.
If in 2021, 113 thousand declarations were processed, this figure rose to 873 thousand in 2025. Such growth was achieved without increasing the number of employees thanks to automation and digitization of processes, which also reduced the influence of the human factor. The introduction of analytical methods and a risk management system in the law enforcement block of management also increased the effectiveness of detecting violations.

In the field of law enforcement activities, 9,792 violations and crimes in the area of customs legislation were identified in 2025. Additional revenues to the budget amounted to more than 1.566 billion soms, which is almost twice the results of the previous year.

Record successes were also noted in the fight against drug trafficking: more than 830 kg of narcotic substances and over 22 tons of precursors were seized and destroyed.

In 2025, the State Customs Service implemented large-scale digitalization measures: the number of procedures for businesses was reduced from 18 to 9 steps, and the time for customs control was reduced from five hours to one. In some checkpoints, the waiting time was only a few dozen minutes, and throughput increased threefold without an increase in staff.

The "Customs Transit" module has been implemented, which helps to enhance the security and transparency of cargo transportation. Since October 2025, nearly 2 billion soms have passed through the online payment system via QR code.

The State Customs Service has been tasked with ensuring the achievement of the customs payment plan for 2026 in the amount of 142.6 billion soms.
