By the end of 2022, reserves amounted to 8.2 billion dollars.

According to information provided by the Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, Melis Turgunbaev, the country's international reserves have exceeded 10 billion dollars.

He noted: "This is a significant achievement for our economy. We are now at the level of developed countries, effectively entering an elite club. This amount is twice our external debt and will provide reliable protection for the currency market against external shocks."

It should be added that in August 2025, reserves amounted to over 6.6 billion dollars, and by December, they increased to 8.2 billion dollars.
