The goal of the deposit protection system is to increase the trust of depositors and strengthen financial stability in the country. It covers both banks and other financial institutions that have a license from the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan to attract deposits.
It is worth noting that in 2025, the National Bank issued licenses for the establishment of six new commercial banks, including JSC "Berekett Bank," JSC "Alma Finance Bank," JSC "Muras Bank," JSC "Asman Bank," and JSC "Kylım Bank."
According to information from the official website of "Alma Finance Bank," the founders are six individuals and legal entities, including three citizens of China: Wang Qiangang, Kang Jianling, and Liu Wenzhong. Among the co-owners are also LLC "Baden Service" (engaged in the construction of residential and non-residential buildings) and LLC "Kyrgyz Temir Group." Among the legal entities that are founders of the bank is also JSC "MCC 'Alma Credit'."
On January 14, 2026, "Alma Finance Bank" received a license to conduct banking operations in both national and foreign currencies.
