The Directorate for Resort Management Returned 25 Hectares of Land to the State
The Directorate for the Management of Sanatorium-Resort and Tourist Facilities, under the administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), conducted a significant operation to recover state property. As a result of this work, 25 hectares of land and over 5,300 square meters of buildings, which had previously been illegally transferred to private hands, were returned. This new structure, established in March 2024, was able not only to return assets to state ownership in a short period but also demonstrated the effectiveness of its management model.
The facilities transferred to the Directorate were in extremely poor condition: years of neglect and lack of equipment updates led to previously successful health resorts becoming unprofitable and dilapidated. At the time of transfer, the total debt for wages, taxes, and utilities reached 90 million soms. However, thanks to strict control and effective management, all these debts were successfully settled.
The financial results of the Directorate's work clearly demonstrate the end of an era of ineffective management. In 2023, the facilities under the control of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan generated only 248 million soms in revenue, while by the end of 2024, under the management of the Directorate, this figure increased to 486 million soms. The year 2025 was revolutionary: with a target of 550 million soms, the actual revenue amounted to 779 million, exceeding the plan by 141%. Thus, in less than two years, annual revenue increased more than threefold, transforming previously unprofitable institutions into a significant source of replenishment for the state budget.
