In Kyrgyzstan, the purchase price of raw milk with a fat content of 3.4% for processing can reach 48 soms, depending on the region, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the KR.
In particular, in the Chui region, the price ranges from 35 to 47 soms per liter, in the Talas region from 32 to 41 soms, and in the Issyk-Kul region it varies from 34 to 48 soms.
The specified price applies to milk with a basic fat content, as established by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the KR dated December 2, 2024, No. 724.
Analyzing the situation in Central Asia, it can be noted that different countries in the region apply various approaches to setting prices for raw milk. However, not all countries publish official data.
For example, in Kazakhstan, as of early 2026, the average purchase price of milk from farmers is about 220 tenge, which corresponds to approximately 37 soms per liter. This cost also depends on the region and the quality of the raw material.
As for Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, there is no official statistics on purchase prices for milk there. However, market data indicates that in Uzbekistan, the price of fresh milk ranges from 56 to 61 soms per liter, while in Tajikistan, retail prices are in the range of 48–80 soms.
