- Official rate of the NB KR: 87.45 soms (an increase of 0.005 percent).
- Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 87.35 soms, selling — 87.79 soms.
Euro:
- Official rate of the NB KR: 103.6457 soms (an increase of 0.95 percent). This is a new high for January and a record for the entire year of 2025.
- Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 103.41 soms, selling — 104.39 soms.
Russian Ruble:
- Official rate of the NB KR: 1.1538 soms (an increase of 0.1 percent). This is also a new record for value from the previous year.
- Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 1.129 soms, selling — 1.163 soms.
Kazakh Tenge:
- Official rate of the NB KR: 0.1742 soms (an increase of 0.29 percent), which is a new high for January.
- Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 0.1552 soms, selling — 0.1827 soms.
Chinese Yuan:
- Official rate of the NB KR: 12.5717 soms (an increase of 0.1 percent). This is an updated historical high for the yuan.
- Average rate in exchange offices: buying — 12.55 soms, selling — 13.1 soms.
