The Housing Committee approved in the first reading a loan of $31.79 million for the health of people, animals, and ecosystems.

- At the meeting held on January 26, the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security, and Migration approved the bill on the ratification of the Financing Agreement and the Grant Agreement signed on July 11, 2025, in Bishkek. These documents pertain to the project "Phase 1 for the Kyrgyz Republic" under the "One Health" Program aimed at preventing pandemics, strengthening food security, and improving ecosystem health in Central Asia.

Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Zhanibek Kerimaliev provided information about the project.

He noted that within the framework of this project, it is planned to allocate $31.79 million, which will be used to enhance public health, protect animals, and improve the environmental situation in the country. The first phase of the project includes three key components that are intended to establish the core capacity of the system under normal conditions and support critical functions for detecting and responding to emergencies in the context of implementing the Concept of the Regional "One Health" Program. This underscores the importance of a comprehensive approach to addressing global health issues.

The financing structure of $31.79 million includes:

- loan – $30 million;

- grant – $1.79 million;

- loan term – 50 years;

- grace period – 10 years;

- interest rate – 0%.
