Kyrgyzstan officially begins preparations for one of the most significant international events in its decade-long calendar. The decree signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, establishes an organizing committee for the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25," scheduled for 2027.

The importance of the upcoming forum is underscored by the composition of the organizing committee, headed by the Prime Minister himself. It includes vice-premiers, ministers of relevant departments, mayors of key cities, as well as leaders from the Naryn, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions. Scientific and strategic support will be provided by the presidents of the National Academy of Sciences and the Institute for Strategic Initiatives.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been given the secretariat of the organizing committee. Over the next three months, the departments will be tasked with developing a detailed "roadmap" and approving an action plan. Special attention will be paid to promoting issues of mountain development on the international stage, overseen by the special representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The anniversary summit "Bishkek+25" will be an important milestone in the global dialogue on sustainable development of mountain regions, which began in the capital of Kyrgyzstan back in 2002. The administration of the president is responsible for monitoring the quality of preparations and the execution of all stages of the decree.
