During a meeting of the Ministry of Energy's board, Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Prime Minister, raised a question regarding the losses of JSC "Electric Stations" for the past year, despite the transfer of the Bishkek CHPP to the management of the city administration.

The company's General Director, Alpbek Sadyrov, noted that in the first half of 2025, "Electric Stations" showed a profit; however, the financial results for the entire year turned out to be negative due to loan obligations.

Torobaev reminded that previously, maintaining the CHPP required 1.5 billion soms in subsidies, and now this amount has significantly increased.

“As of today, the CHPP receives 4 billion soms in state support, which you used to cover yourselves. We relieved the company of this burden by transferring the CHPP to the city administration. In this regard, the question arises: where is this money going?” he pointed out.

In response, Sadyrov explained that a significant portion of the finances goes towards servicing loans taken out for the modernization of the Toktogul and Uch-Kurgan hydroelectric power stations.

Following the discussion, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed to prepare a detailed analysis of the financial condition of JSC "Electric Stations" before and after the transfer of the CHPP to the municipality.
