Analysts note that the budget surplus, which increased in 2024 and 2025, will gradually decrease.
Specifically, in 2024, the surplus was 2.3% of GDP, and a year later this figure will rise to 2.6%. However, in 2026, according to EFSR experts, the surplus is expected to decrease to 1.6%, in 2027 to 1.5%, and by 2028 it will reach 0.8% of GDP.
The authors of the report emphasize that the record budget surplus in 2025 was due to a significant increase in Kyrgyzstan's non-tax revenues.
