According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, in 2025 the country produced 19,508.85 tons of commercial fish.
This result was made possible through the collaboration of both individuals and legal entities in the fishing industry, working under contracts with the Department of Fisheries.
The highest amount of fish was produced in the Chui region, where 12,844.8 tons of commercial fish were recorded. The following regions ranked by production volumes:
Jalal-Abad region — 2,845.6 tons,
Issyk-Kul region — 1,505.3 tons,
Naryn region — 1,373.2 tons,
Talas region — 533.45 tons,
Osh region — 406.5 tons.
In the total volume of commercial fish production, the following species are most represented:
rainbow trout — 17,132.05 tons,
carp (common carp) — 813.2 tons,
and other fish species — 1,563.6 tons.
