In Kyrgyzstan, the possibility of introducing liability for errors in the production of halal products is being considered.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, a draft law is currently being developed that will amend the Code of Offenses. This document aims to establish responsibility for violations related to the production and certification of halal products.

The project proposes the introduction of fines for producers and suppliers of halal products who do not have the necessary certificates, as well as for certification bodies that allow violations during inspections and conformity assessments.

At the same time, work is underway to improve the halal certification system. Plans include the digitization of the certificate issuance process and the implementation of more transparent and effective methods of control over the production and labeling of goods.

These measures are aimed at protecting consumer rights and increasing trust in halal products among the population of Kyrgyzstan.

The ministry also emphasized that previously recorded violations, such as the presence of pork DNA in some producers' products, have been eliminated following a review of production processes and repeated laboratory analyses.
