The license for the production of halal products has been revoked from LLC "Rikha," - Deputy Minister of Economy Akhmatov
Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sultan Akhmatov reported that a similar incident had already occurred in Kyrgyzstan.
“The company 'Rikha' claimed that its products met halal standards, however, during an inspection, pork was found,” he noted.
According to the deputy minister, the company did not undergo proper accreditation, and its license has currently been revoked.
The deputy also inquired about the penalties that violators would face.
Sultan Akhmatov explained that there is a law in the country regulating the halal industry, which lists the requirements. However, the law did not provide for penalties for violations, which is why new fines are being introduced: for individuals — 75 calculation indicators (which amounts to 7,500 soms), for legal entities — 230 calculation indicators (23,000 soms).
Primov believes that before imposing a fine, the company should be given a warning.
