The Ministry of Energy reported on the progress of the construction of the Papan Hydroelectric Power Station
Construction of the small hydropower plant "Papan" with a capacity of 27 MW continues in the Kara-Suu district, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In addition, the process of land allocation and transformation is currently underway to create a production complex that includes the hydropower plant building and an open switchgear with a voltage of 110 kV. Questions are also being considered regarding the use of land for the installation of supports for the overhead power line VL-110 kV from the Papan Hydroelectric Power Station to the "Uzlova - Besh-Moinok" line.

Furthermore, work is ongoing on the design and estimate documentation, a preliminary construction schedule has been approved, and permits for access to the Papan reservoir area have been obtained, while engineering surveys continue, the press service reports.

The capsule-laying ceremony for the Papan Hydroelectric Power Station took place on October 5, 2024.
