In 2026, 20,000 apartments from GIK will be put into operation across Kyrgyzstan, - president
As Japarov noted, in 2025, the State Mortgage Company (GIK) provided housing for 4,662 families, which is four times higher than the figures for 2024.
“Since the establishment of GIK, 14,945 families have been able to obtain housing. Most of them started receiving apartments from 2021. Currently, 80,245 apartments are actively being built in the country. If everything goes according to plan, by the end of this year we will be able to hand over 20,000 apartments in cities such as Bishkek, Osh, Manas, Tokmok, Kara-Balta, Karakol, Cholpon-Ata, Balıkçı, Naryn, Talas, and Batken, as well as in the Kochkor district of Naryn region and the Kara-Suu and Uzgen districts of Osh region,” the president added.
Japarov also reported on the increase in the authorized capital of the State Mortgage Company, which has grown from 10 million soms when the company was founded 10 years ago to 87 billion soms today.
“We intend to increase this capital to 200 billion soms in the future,” the president concluded.
