Funding for veterinary activities in 2025 amounted to over 261 million soms, - Veterinary Service

- In 2025, more than 261 million soms were allocated for veterinary activities in Kyrgyzstan, which allowed for the implementation of over 25.5 million preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic measures. This was reported by Bakyt Sharapov, Deputy Director of the Veterinary Service for Livestock Development, Pastures, and Feed under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry.

According to Sharapov, previously about 86–87 million soms were allocated for such activities, but in 2025, funding significantly increased. These funds were used for the autumn activities of 2025 and preparation for the spring campaigns of 2026. Vaccines and medical supplies were delivered to the regions and are stored in accordance with established standards.

The Deputy Director also noted that throughout the year, 25 million 546 thousand veterinary activities were carried out across the country. Of this number, 23 million 537 thousand were preventive vaccinations, about 12 million 17 thousand were diagnostic studies, and 738 thousand treatments against helminths, mainly in dogs, were aimed at preventing echinococcosis.

All activities were completed at 104% of the planned volume.

He added that this year, veterinary activities in the southern regions will begin in February, while in the northern regions, they will start in March or April.
