During the official visit of the Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia, Uchrala Nyam-Osor, to China, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Damdinniyam Gongor, met with representatives of Sinotruck Group.
At the meeting, Sinotruck representatives expressed interest in opening a vehicle manufacturing plant in Mongolia. This information was reported by MiddleAsianNews.

The planned plant will focus on the local assembly of trucks and will concentrate on four main areas: logistics for the mining industry, transportation of agricultural products and livestock, cross-border freight transportation, as well as urban development.
The main goal of the company is to produce high-quality and frost-resistant trucks of medium and heavy load capacity, as well as specialized vehicles for the mining industry. The project also aims to create over 200 jobs and train qualified specialists in truck manufacturing and repair.
The parties discussed opportunities to support related industries, such as local logistics, spare parts supply, and maintenance, as well as the modernization of Mongolia's manufacturing sector.
As a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached to collaborate on further exploring the prospects of establishing a branch of the company in Mongolia.
