According to data provided by The Washington Post, the Pentagon is considering the possibility of conducting limited ground operations in Iran, which could last from several weeks to two months. According to American officials, the plans do not include a full military invasion but involve small raids involving special operations forces and regular infantry units.

As of March 28, it remained unclear whether U.S. President Donald Trump would approve the actions proposed by the Pentagon. It is important to note that such an operation could expose American troops to various threats, including drone strikes, ground fire, and improvised explosive devices.

At the same time, the United States continues to increase its military presence in the Middle East. Earlier reports indicated the arrival of the amphibious ship USS Tripoli with Marines and sailors on board in the region.

The conflict between the U.S. and Iran, which also involves Israel, has been ongoing for about a month. The escalation of tensions has led to a worsening situation for shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, which remains a critically important route for the supply of oil and liquefied natural gas from Gulf countries.
