The golden statue of Genghis Khan was created using 107 kg of pure gold, which came from the Treasury of Mongolia.
The statue, which stands 7.5 meters tall, was crafted by sculptor Bold Luvsan. The completion of the work took place in Italy, and its installation in the Hall of Honor of the Genghis Khan Museum occurred in 2024, as confirmed by information from MiddleAsianNews.
To create the golden statue, 107 kg of gold was extracted from the Treasury Fund of Mongolia. At the same time, the bronze statue of Genghis Khan was covered with 7 kg of gold, and the golden seal of Khasbuu was made from 100 kg of gold, including local reserves.
The statue features a marble pedestal with the seal of the Great Emperor Genghis Khan, a throne, and golden decorations, and is made of gold, bronze, and marble. The casting of the statue took place at the bronze foundry "Art’u di Gaetano Salmista" in Florence, Italy.

The dimensions of the statue are 700 cm in width, 630 cm in depth, and 750 cm in height, depicting Genghis Khan in his youth when he founded the Mongol Empire in 1189.
The design of the statue adheres to symmetrical aesthetics, portraying the Great Khan confidently seated with a vision of the future, and is covered in gold sourced from Mongolia.
The statue is installed on a marble pedestal adorned with the Golden Seal of the Mongol Empire, a throne, and exquisite golden elements symbolizing the sovereignty of the country. The throne features an image of the Burkhan Khaldun mountain, and the three-tiered platform made of white marble symbolizes the past, present, and future, complemented by a tiger skin motif representing victory, and a felt carpet symbolizing the resilience of the state.
According to available data, the State Treasury of Mongolia planned to allocate ₮8 billion (approximately $2,242,904) for the creation of the golden statue of the Great Khan. However, due to the fact that the 7.5-meter statue was delivered by a special plane, transportation costs increased, resulting in a total amount of ₮8.9 billion (about $2,495,230).
