In the southern part of Ashgabat, President Serdar Berdymukhamedov participated in this event. The clean-up day also involved the Chairman of the Mejlis, deputy prime ministers, heads of law enforcement agencies, and diplomats representing international organizations.
During the event, Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhallyyev, responsible for the agro-industrial complex, presented a report on the planting of trees. In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annammammedov, overseeing Ashgabat, reported on the work being done to improve the capital and maintain its cleanliness, as well as on the progress of construction projects.
On that day, a total of 611,962 seedlings were planted across the country. Additionally, care was provided for more than 2 million trees, as reported by the state information agency TDH.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, planted trees in Arkadag. The event featured musicians and dancers, who later received gifts from the former president.
Berdymukhamedov Sr. planted his tree alongside a boy who asked him to bless the start of the event and recited a poem.
As noted by TDH, the participation of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty alongside a representative of the younger generation emphasizes the importance of mentoring traditions that continue in the country.
