
In its statement, the Iranian council noted that any interference by the enemy in Iranian territories would lead to the mining of all maritime lines and routes in the Persian Gulf. Iran also plans to use various types of mines, including floating ones, which can be installed from the coastline.
The council also added that countries not considered enemies of Iran would be able to pass through the Strait of Hormuz with prior coordination with Tehran.
It should be noted that U.S. President Donald Trump issued an ultimatum to Iran, giving them 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz, threatening retaliatory strikes on energy infrastructure. Tehran rejected these demands and stated its readiness to attack American facilities in the region.
