Over the course of nine days, nearly 3,000 deputies of the National People's Congress and more than 2,000 members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, representing various regions, nationalities, and social groups, gathered to discuss key issues related to further development.
This event vividly illustrates the Chinese model of people's democracy, encompassing all aspects of societal life. More than 3,000 journalists from China and other countries covered the activities of the sessions, noted Liu Jiangping.
She also reported on the adoption of a fifteen-year socio-economic development plan, which outlines the directions of work for the next five years and strategic goals up to 2035.
The system of five-year plans, in place since 1953, ensures long-term stability in China and contributes to the development of the global economy, the ambassador emphasized.
In addition, she spoke about achievements in high technologies, including electric vehicles, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and robotics. China maintains its position as a leader in manufacturing and is actively transitioning to an innovative economic model, the diplomat added.
