An American KC-135 aircraft crashed in Iraq, six military personnel killed
Initially, U.S. military officials reported the start of a rescue operation. Later, Reuters clarified, citing sources in the military department, that there were six servicemen on board the crashed aircraft, all of whom were killed.
It is also reported that the second aircraft involved in the incident was also a KC-135. The causes of the crash are currently being investigated.
The coalition known as "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" claimed responsibility for the crash. However, the U.S. Central Command denied the information that the aircraft was shot down by enemy fire.
