An incredible natural phenomenon occurred on the night of March 10 to 11, 2026, in Ain Sefra, Algeria, located on the northern edge of the Sahara, where snowfall was recorded. This brief precipitation was registered using a network weather station.
Interestingly, this area is situated at an altitude of 1,059 meters above sea level. However, snow in the Sahara is an extremely rare event: in the last four decades, it has fallen here only seven times.
