According to the IRGC, the attacks lasted more than three hours and included continuous missile launches, among which were "Khoramshahr" type missiles, targeting bases belonging to the USA and Israel. As a result of the strike, the satellite communication center of Khaal was hit again, located in the south of Tel Aviv, as well as military facilities in Bir Yakub, West Jerusalem, and Haifa. Additionally, Iraqi Erbil and the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain also became targets of the attacks.
The "Khoramshahr" is an Iranian medium-range ballistic missile, considered one of the most powerful in the country's arsenal. This missile has a range of up to 2000 km and can carry a warhead weighing up to 1.5–2 tons.
The IRGC statement emphasizes that "we will continue targeted and powerful strikes until we achieve the complete surrender of the enemy. The conflict will only end when the threat of war is eliminated from our territory."
According to Al Jazeera, among the targets of the Iranian attacks were Iraqi and Bahraini facilities. The UAE Ministry of Defense reported intercepting Iranian missiles and drones on the night of the attack. Saudi Arabia also confirmed the interception of at least five drones that same evening. During the same period, Al Jazeera reported powerful explosions in Tehran in response to Israeli airstrikes.
On March 10, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth announced that the USA would deliver the "most intense strike" during the operation against Iran. At a press conference in Miami, US President Donald Trump also warned Tehran of the consequences if Iran blocked energy resource supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, threatening strikes of 20 times greater force.
However, as noted by Al Jazeera, the strike carried out by the USA against Iran on March 10 did not meet Hegseth's expectations. Despite the fact that on the night of March 11, American forces also attacked Tehran, the number of strikes was significantly lower than in previous instances.
Military actions by the USA and Israel against Iran began in late February. In the early days of the conflict, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, was killed, and his son Mojtaba took his place. After Khamenei's assassination, Iran promised to take revenge, stating that it was ready to wage war for as long as necessary. The IRGC announced the most powerful offensive in the country's history following the leader's death.
