According to information from the agencies "Xinhua" and Reuters, Wang Yi noted that the current crisis cannot be resolved by force, as this only breeds new hatred and exacerbates the already tense atmosphere in the region. He emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty and integrity of the Gulf states, including Iran.

The Chinese diplomat also condemned the abuse of power and stated that innocent people should not suffer due to conflicts. He called for a cessation of interference in the internal affairs of countries and for a swift return to peaceful negotiations.

Wang Yi added that major powers should promote peace and stability in the Middle East. According to him, China is ready to cooperate with the countries of the region to implement initiatives aimed at global security.

It is worth recalling that on February 28, the United States and Israel began a joint military operation against Iran, resulting in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as confirmed by both Iranian state media and Reuters. In response, Iran carried out missile strikes and drone attacks on Israel, American bases, and facilities in other countries in the region.

Against the backdrop of this conflict, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has been virtually paralyzed, leading to a sharp increase in oil prices.
