The visit was a continuation of Jitka Seitlova's trip to Mongolia in October 2025, timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This event contributed to strengthening cooperation between the legislative bodies of Mongolia and the Czech Republic.
During their visit, the delegation held official meetings with several high-ranking Czech officials, including Vice President of the Senate Jitka Seitlova, Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies Patrik Nacher, and Chairman of the Senate's Permanent Committee on Regional Development and the Environment Zbynek Linhart. A meeting was also held with the President of the Senate, His Excellency Miloš Vystrčil.
Deputy Chairman of the Khural Bat-Erdene noted that the frequency of high-level mutual visits between Mongolia and the Czech Republic contributes to the active development of their cooperation. He emphasized Mongolia's desire to deepen the Comprehensive Partnership with the Czech Republic, considering it an important European ally and "third neighbor." Bat-Erdene highlighted the need to expand cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure, ecology, agriculture, healthcare, and education.
Additionally, he mentioned upcoming international events to be held in Mongolia: the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (COP17) in August and the International Meeting of Women Parliamentarians in October, inviting Czech representatives to participate in these events.
The Czech side highly appreciated Mongolia's contribution to environmental protection and the fight against desertification, expressing readiness to participate in the upcoming international meetings. They also positively noted Mongolia's achievements in increasing the representation of women in parliament and supporting women's leadership, recognizing it as one of the leading countries in Asia in terms of the number of women deputies.
At the conclusion of the visit, Deputy Speaker Bat-Erdene met with representatives of the office of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Tomio Okamura, Member of the Chamber of Deputies Petr Sadovsky, Honorary Consul of Mongolia in the Czech Republic Pavel Reichert, and businessmen led by Radek Jakubsky, Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
Bat-Erdene emphasized the importance of continuing the development of Mongolian-Czech cooperation, based on traditional ties and cultural exchanges, particularly through support for small and medium-sized enterprises using Czech technologies. He expressed gratitude to the Czech authorities for their care for Mongolian citizens living in the Czech Republic and for creating conditions for their safety and education.
