The process of selecting a new Supreme Leader in Iran is nearing completion, as reported by Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, a member of the Assembly of Experts. The information was conveyed by the Lenta.ru agency, citing the Telegram channel IRIB News.
He noted that "a new Supreme Leader will be determined in the near future; we are in the final stage, however, there is currently a military situation in the country."
Additionally, Khatami added that the Assembly of Experts has already made a choice among potential candidates for this important position.
Earlier, the Iran International agency reported that under pressure from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Assembly of Experts likely chose Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ali Khamenei, as the next Supreme Leader of Iran.
