The farewell ceremony for Khamenei will be organized in Tehran, but the exact dates of the mourning events will be announced later.
According to Fars, at the time of the tragic incident, Khamenei was in his office. As a result of the operation, his daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and one of his daughters-in-law also died. His wife later succumbed to her injuries. According to Israeli sources, about 30 bombs were dropped on the ayatollah's residence, and the building was completely destroyed.
Following the death of the supreme leader, the Iranian government announced 40 days of mourning and seven days of public holidays.
The military operation against Iran began on February 28, when Israeli and American forces attacked the country. The next day, the IDF press service confirmed the destruction of 40 Iranian commanders, including high-profile figures such as the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Pakpour, and the secretary of the Defense Council, Ali Shamkhani.
In response to these actions, Iran launched missile and drone strikes on American bases in the Middle East and on Israeli territory.
