Attack on Iran. Trump announced the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
Donald Trump announced the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, as a result of joint actions by the United States and Israel against the country.

The U.S. President noted on his social media platform Truth Social: “Khamenei, one of the most brutal villains in history, is dead.”

The President emphasized that this is justice not only for the Iranian people but also for all Americans, as well as for people around the world who have fallen victim to Khamenei and his associates. “This is a historic moment that will give the Iranians a chance to restore their country,” Trump added.

He expressed hope that “the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the police will unite with Iranian patriots to work together on restoring the greatness of the country.”

Trump also stated that “massive and targeted airstrikes will continue throughout the week or until our goal is achieved — peace in the Middle East and around the world.”

The military actions by Israel and the U.S. against Iran began on February 28 with massive air and missile strikes on military facilities and cities in Iran. In response, Tehran attacked Israeli and American bases in several countries in the region. In the first hours after the conflict began, several high-ranking Iranian officials and military personnel were killed. Trump also announced the start of a military operation called “Lion's Roar” and made a corresponding statement.
