Mongolian boxers won bronze medals at the international tournament

According to MiddleAsianNews, the national boxing team of Mongolia demonstrated excellent results at the 77th international tournament "Strandja Cup," which took place in Sofia.

At the tournament, Mongolian boxers won three bronze medals.

In the men's category up to 55 kg, Bilguunsaihan Kharkhuu reached the semifinals, winning against opponents from Ukraine, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, but lost in the final match to American Lorenzo Patricio, which earned him a bronze medal.


In the women's competitions, bronze medals were won by Nomundar Enkh-Amgalan (48 kg) and Namuun Monhor (60 kg), both losing in the semifinal bouts.


Nomundar finished her performance at the tournament by winning a bronze medal. She lost to Ukrainian Okhota Hanna, who is the silver medalist of the 2018 World Championship, by unanimous decision of the judges.


As for Namuun, she also won a bronze medal, but lost in the semifinals to Brazilian Rebeca Santos, the reigning world champion, by the judges' decision.
