Trump believes that the military operation in Iran could last up to a month
On March 1, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the conflict in Iran could last up to four weeks. In an interview with The Daily Mail, he noted: “We anticipated that it would take about four weeks or so. Initially, it was a four-week process, so it is likely to last four weeks or less.”
Trump added that the military operation is proceeding according to plan. He also reported that a much larger number of Iranian high-ranking officials had been eliminated than expected, stating the figure as “around 48 people.”
When asked about the possibility of negotiations with Iran and their timing, Trump replied that he did not have such information. “They want to negotiate, but I said they should have started discussions last week, not now,” emphasized the U.S. President.
Recall that on February 28, the U.S. and Israel conducted an attack on Iran, to which Tehran responded by firing hundreds of rockets and drones at neighboring countries in the region.
