SHAGDAR Sosor, known as "Bosoo" (which means "invincible"), held the title of State Lion in Mongolian national wrestling. This was reported by MiddleAsianNews.

This legendary strongman was born in 1888 in the khoshun of Erdene duirag van aimag Zasagt Khan, now the somon of Bayankhairkhan in Zavkhan aimag, in a place called Burdiiin Yolt.

In 1913, when Shagdar was 25 years old, he began his wrestling career by defeating the famous champion Vandan Galsankhuu from the khoshun of Luu gun in the aimag of Sain Noyon Khan at the Maidari Naadam in khuree Tes. In 1922, this location represented a vast region covering 6 aimags, 17 datsans, and about 1500 monks.

After this victory, Shagdar won consecutively for 13 years, which earned him the nickname "Bosoo".

At the 1924 Naadam, Shagdar triumphed over another famous wrestler, also known as "Bosoo," Samdan Ganjuurjav from Khan-Khentii, among 674 participants. This victory awarded him the state title of Lion. Samdan Ganjuurjav, born in 1899 in the somon of Bayankhutag in Khentii aimag, exhibited physical strength and athleticism from a young age.

The stone that Shagdar lifted is located in the somon of Tsagaan-Uul, in Khuvsgul aimag. He spent the last years of his life in this aimag.
