Starting from March 1, the cost of a tourist visa for entry into Egypt will increase from $25 to $30, reports Cairo 24.
This change will affect tourists arriving through airports in Cairo and Hurghada. However, for those vacationing in Sharm El Sheikh, the free 15-day "Sinai stamp" will still be available, but leaving this area will require obtaining a visa.
Initially, the Egyptian authorities considered raising the fee to $45, but they abandoned this idea.
Egypt continues to be one of the most sought-after tourist destinations for citizens of CIS countries, including Kyrgyzstan.
