In Mexico, the leader of one of the largest drug cartels has been eliminated. Unrest has begun.
According to data from the Ministry of National Defense, the operation took place in the morning, and the military encountered an attack, to which they responded with force. As a result, Oseguera sustained serious injuries and died before reaching a medical facility.
Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed that federal authorities are working closely with local administrations and are monitoring the situation's development. She noted that "calm prevails in most of the country," and all operational information is being disseminated through official channels of the security forces.
