The first freight train has begun its journey along the corridor China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan — Tajikistan, departing from Lanzhou (China) and heading towards Dushanbe-2, as reported in a press release from the Uzbek joint-stock company "Uztemiryulcontainer".

It is worth noting that "Uztemiryulcontainer" plays a key role in the establishment of the joint venture UTK International Logistics in China, which organized this pilot trip, providing a connection between China and Central Asia.

This project has become an important step in implementing agreements to expand cooperation and develop transport links, achieved during the meeting of the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan in Dushanbe in 2025.

The first shipment includes eight forty-foot containers with consumer goods as well as construction equipment. The total length of the route is over 3,500 kilometers, and the expected travel time is about 18–20 days.

It is also emphasized that with the support of JSC "Uzbekiston temir yo'llari" (Uzbek Railways), tariff benefits for carriers have been introduced on this route, indicating the company's readiness to ensure stable and regular freight train movements from China to Central Asia.

Earlier, in July 2025, it was reported that China organized the first railway shipment from the city of Wuhan in Hubei province along the route of multimodal international freight transportation China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan, thereby expanding its logistics network in Central Asia.
