
Three lives were claimed by an avalanche in the autonomous region of Valle d'Aosta in northern Italy. This was reported by the rescue service, according to reports from RIA Novosti.
According to a representative of the service, the victims were two men and one woman, presumably all of whom are citizens of France. The avalanche occurred in the area of Courmayeur, and rescue teams, including helicopters and dog handlers, were dispatched to the scene.
According to the rescuer, one of the skiers was found dead at the scene, the second died in Aosta, and the third, who was taken to a hospital in Turin, also did not survive.
Additionally, another avalanche occurred the day before in the area of the town of Rem-Nord-Dam, which led to the blockage of a road for 250 people. An evacuation was carried out, and the victims were taken to safe places, including with the help of helicopters.
