
During the meeting, the cooperation between the armed forces of Mongolia and the Bundeswehr was discussed in various areas, with particular attention paid to the training of mountain infantry.
An important task of the training was to complicate both the initial and intermediate stages of preparation that had been conducted previously. Participants practiced combat tactics in mountainous conditions. Joint training included shooting while descending and ascending the mountain, as well as climbing using ropes and mastering mountaineering skills.



Karsten Breuer (born December 1, 1964) is the 17th Inspector General of the Bundeswehr. Before this appointment, he headed the Bundeswehr's Country Defense Command and became known for his role in the operational group combating COVID-19. Breuer also commanded the 37th Armored Infantry Brigade, the Bundeswehr Territorial Command, and the 12th Armored Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion.
